Cooking Tips - KOW Wagyu Strip Steak

One of the better cuts of beef, KOW Wagyu Strip is guaranteed to satisfy even the most dedicated of carnivores. These quick and simple methods will show you how to get the most out of your steak.

Before cooking our wagyu we always recommend letting the meat rest to room temperature and then generous salting on either side of the steak.

A favorite technique for cooking a strip steak is on a cast iron skillet using the 4-3-2 method:

  1. Sear the steak in a dry skillet for 4 minutes.
  2. Flip it and sear the other side for 3 minutes.
  3. Add a knob of butter, garlic & fresh rosemary and continue to baste the steak with the juices and melted butter for 1 minute.
Let it rest for 2 minutes.

Note that this technique is best for when you're cooking one or at most two ribeyes. And you can really only do two if you have an extra-wide skillet.

If you need to do more than two, you'll need to cook the steak on the grill instead. Or maybe you have multiple cast iron skillets, in which case great.
